Germany: Only Every Second Ice Train Operates On Berlin Munich Line

Poland: Tender Specification For Three-system High-speed Emus For Pkp Intercity Revealed
PKP Intercity wants to have 8, out of the 20 to high speed articulated train sets to be ordered, delivered by 31 October 2012. What is more, the operator wants the winning bidder to sign a contract termination closure, if PKP Intercity does not have the financing guaranteed by mid-2010.

Some 60 Passengers Injured In Train Accident
Some 60 passengers were injured in a train accident that occurred at Zagreb’s Central Railway Station at 5:26am today (Mon).

Eurostar Strike Woes Grow After Paris Train Derailment
Paris, France (AHN) – A Paris regional express train derailment left at lease 17 people were injured on Sunday. The car jumped the track late Sunday night in Paris’ southern region of Choisy-le-Roi.

Eurostar Says Service May Resume Tuesday
The popular Anglo-French Eurostar rail line announced trains could resume service Tuesday as the suspension of its services left 90,000 passengers stranded.

Tartu-valga Train Connection To Get Relaunched From January
Starting January 1, 2010, it will be possible for people to travel by train on the Tartu-Valga route again and use it to travel to Riga by train, EPL Online/LETA reports.

Poland: Pkp Intercity Announced A Tender For Repair Of Cars
Polish state-owned passenger operator PKP Intercity announced a tender for audit repair of 500 company’s cars.

The ordering party gives 24 months to realize the order. The only tender’s criteria is the lowest price. The future contractor will have to prove, that it has the necessary experience in audit repairs of rail cars. Bids can be submitted until the 22nd of January 2010.
