For our Locomotive Business Unit based in Zurich/Switzerland or Mannheim/Germany we are currently looking to recruit a Software Project Lead Engineer (m/f) The owner of the job is responsible for turning customer and homologation requirements into approved software releases. This involves planning, tracking and executing software architecture, as well as utilising assigned resources to design, implement and verify work packages which fulfil budget, quality and time targets. Support of interfacing functions and related process and tool improvement activities is also included in the positions scope. Tasks: Review and give feedback on requirements Create, track and report status of project plans, development work packages, risk and issue handling Technical and project related guidance of team through team meetings and daily communication Interfacing with other functions and external contacts, e.g. through documentation and alignment meetings Review and improve process descriptions and tools Qualifications You have a technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Uni, FH, BA), with strong links to Automation Engineering. Several years of professional experience in an industrial environment with automation systems or technologies would be an advantage. You have a deep knowledge of one or more software development models such as V Model and Scrum. This should complement an understanding of technical norms and standards (e. g. EN50128). You are a structured and fast learner who is work, team and goal-oriented. You are capable of, and willing to take on, responsibility to solve complex issues together with other members of an international team based at different locations. Good spoken and written German and English is a prerequisite for the role; other languages ??are an advantage. Depending on experience, aptitude and interest you will have excellent prospects to develop your career within our global environment.
