For our Headquarters in Berlin, we are currently looking to recruit a: Senior Specialist IS, Engineering Platforms Projects and Operations Architecture (m/f) The role encomprises the following key accountabilities: * Lead (2nd person - support) the PLM Platforms Infrastructure Architecture and ensure that the IS infrastructure, its associated hardware, middleware and software effectively supports the strategic and operational goals as defined by the PLM Program. * Drive the consolidation of the existing IS Infrastructure landscape (End User Computing, Servers & Storage, Network) and cooperate with the IS PLM Program, IS PLM Applications team and BTs strategic partners. Eliminate burning PLM platforms, legacy components and reduce redundancies as well as duplicative operational efforts. Ensuring reliable, performing and stable PLM operations, applications and systems. * Devise the IS infrastructure framework in collaboration with the IS PLM Applications team to ensure current and future IS PLM projects provide effective solutions to shifting business problems and opportunities and further the standardization of the PLM infrastructure landscape. * Contribute to IS PLM projects, create or review and approve related project documentation and solve issues as appropriate. Enforce PLM supplier & partners to contribute implementing safe and cost-effective solutions. Maximize collaboration, minimize operational cost and risk and secure innovative IS infrastructure. * Survey operational status and incident reports, identify and eliminate operational hazards, relay relevant information to the IS PLM Program & IS PLM Applications and associated IS departments. * Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to comply with the internal control requirements of OSC and CASRA with respect to the IS PLM environment Qualifications For this role, the successful candidate should offer the following: * Substantial understanding of IS processes and operational procedures. * Track record drive and harmonize IS engineering architectures in a global environment * Profound technical infrastructure skills across multiple disciplines (Virtualization, Storage, Wintel, Unix, PLM Tools and interfaces) and interconnectivity with network (LAN / WAN, VPN) * 7 to 10 years experience in a relevant IT field * Proven ability to lead complex architectures/designs (documentation, review, improvements) * Capability to simplify complexities for stakeholder communication and managing for impact * Track record to work in an outsourced environment and perfrom through 3rd parties and suppliers * Ability to adapt to an international dynamic working environment * Business-fluent English (written and spoken) is absolutely necessary * Open to frequent international travel according to business requirements
