Description Serving a diversified customer base around the world, Bombardier Transportation is the global leader in the rail equipment manufacturing and servicing industry. Bombardier Transportation offers a full range of rail vehicles for urban and mainline operation as well as modernization of rolling stock and operations and maintenance services. For our Headquarters in Berlin, we are currently looking to recruit a: Senior Specialist, Data Center Strategy Support the execution of BTIS architecture and technology plan and work in close collaboration with the Application team to ensure: Datacentre requirements are properly documented Datacentre service levels / objectives and availabilty metrics are appropiately defined Establish and run a datacentre governance model and metrics Work closely with compliance and security to ensure Disaster Recovery platform is baked into strategy Drive agreed CASRA management action plans through to completion Define standards for IS data rooms and monitor compliance to them Pro-actively manage day to day operations: Review and approve of changes to maintain stability Review and approve of problem / root-cause-analysis actions to prevent issue reoccurrence Review and approve of capacity issues and remediation Review and approve of project definitions, scope, milestones, impact analysis as it pertains to datacentre implementations Review and approve of solution design and logical/physical technology models as it pertains to datacentre implementations Review and governance of business as usual projects (risks / issues / success and acceptance criteria) Compile and agree / review new and existing service definitions Interface with BRMs to drive continuous improvement activities within BT data rooms and support continuous improvement projects as it relates to central data centres. The person will work in close collaboration with external Partners and suppliers on technologies and services to improve the EUC services. Support monthly operational review and governance of service delivery. Drive operation to meet with the targeted SLA for Computer and data rooms. Qualifications Fundamental understanding of ITIL processes and operational procedures. Technical infrastructure skills and subject matter knowledge across multiple disciplines including: Data centre strategy, Multi-vendor on-boarding processes, Multi-tennant service modelling, Data centre tiering and uptime / availability metrics IS governance KPI/SLA/SLO, Multi-source vendor management Communication: must be customer focused, and able to communicate affectively internal and externally within a large global company Budgets: Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the management and monitoring of budgets to minimize costs and ensure cost-effectiveness Decision Making: To ensure business commitments are met. Need to be able to make balanced rationalized and timely decisions Knowledge of financial analysis and component modelling for shared service recharge process a distinct advantage
