We are looking for a Safety Validator for our Stockholm site



Role Profile:

Issue Validation Plans, perform independent safety validations and issue Validation Reports on projects,
Follow up of issues raised during reviews, verifications and validations
Peer review of validation reports and safety cases done by others (externally or internally)
Represent and defend validation reports and safety cases at external approval and certification bodies
Track and facilitate resolution of issues raised during validation, assessment and certification work and support the project with co-ordination of related actions
Close cooperation with the project management regarding planning of the validation, safety and acceptance process,
To provide midterm planning of the validation and safety engineering workload and detailed planning of the respective work packages in the short term
Coaching and mentoring Engineers from EAPD and Regions regarding Safety Awareness
Reject or block non-conforming deliverables and concession conforming ones
Development and maintenance of EAPD process documents for use within the divisional engineering
Participation in improvement projects

Qualifications

Validation and Safety engineering support, including the provision of advice on safety planning, safety requirements, safety standards, safety analysis techniques and the production of safety deliverables (validation reports, safety cases, hazard analysis)
Master degree in Engineering or equivalent, software, hardware or system development background
Capable of handling conflict resolutions
Strong communication skills
Functional Safety competence
Substantial knowledge of CENELEC standards 50126, 50128, 50129, 50159-1, 50159-2, ISO/IEC 17020
FMEA/ FTA knowledge
Knowledge about RCS products and processes
Experience with CENELECs V-model and its implementation
Experience with configuration management
Project management knowledge
Comfortable in working with other engineering disciplines, project management, customers and Safety Authorities
Process oriented
Fluent English language skills
Fluent Swedish language skills
