For our Devision Mainline & Metros in Hennigsdorf, we are currently looking to recruit a:

Lead Engineer Standardisation (Specialist Brakes)

Key Accountabilities
Define and lead the implementation of cost effective standards in the field of brake systems concepts with particular reference to vehicle products
Close cooperation with the Lead Engineers of the Operational Performance & Mechanical Integration teams and other A Systems Lead Engineers
Ensure awareness and usage of standard solutions within the department Products and Bids and in the projects
Support Design to Cost and Total Cost of Ownership initiatives with regards to braking concepts
Monitor and report level of standardisation in selected projects.
Concept development for strategic R&D items
Interdisciplinary responsibility for the development and improvement of standardization concepts
Autonomous control of international suppliers in close collaboration with Procurement (technical assessment and strategic supplier selection)
Cross-project responsibility for the control of the remediation plan to answer the standard of systems and components
Personal responsibility for management of system development in the strategy phase, including the strategic suppliers and close cooperation with Product Management
Ensuring the development of a cross-divisional network of experts

Qualifications

Skills and Requirements
Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or similar
Several years of specialized experience in braking systems design and realization
Solid comprehension of national and international standards and norms relevant to braking functions and components
Ability to work in an international team, strong communication and cooperation skills
Willingness to travel
Fluent in English, spoken and written, German and/or French an asset
Strategic thinking
Leadership in matrix organisation
