We are looking for our Rail Control Solutions division in Brunswick a


Head of Operational Procurement and Logistics (m/f)

Your main responsibilities:
Procurement:
Leading a team of buyers
Pipeline savings, control and review the warehouse inventory
Evaluating and approving suppliers (SEAP) and optimizing/developing the existing supply chain.
Measuring and improving supplier performance ( material requirements,negotiations, and order management).
Implementing strategic regional sourcing strategy
Driving operational excellence on cost, processes, tools, and customer statisfaction
Negotiation and sign of Frame Agreements, Site Agreements and Contracts
Strategy and Forecast decisions for the Region
Lead and Participation at internal and external Audits
Budget responsibility for all Site investments
Logistics and Warehouse (internal and external):
Managing the entire flow of all inbound and outbound material, including inventory levels of the warehouse Braunschweig
Leading the logistics team of about five people
Make or Buy decisions
Improving the internal processes towards world class standards, develop and improve cross-regional and cross-functional relationships

Qualifications


University Degree relevant to the position
Minimum of 5 years purchasing and management experience, preferably within an industrial environment of electronic or electro mechanical equipment
Experience of successful implementation of cost reduction programs
Knowledge of financial and accounting principals
Experience in logistics and transportation environments
Working knowledge of ERP (i.e. Baan, SAP, Lotus Notes)
Proven negotiation & people management skills
Fluency in both German and English
Ability and willingness to travel up to 30 %
