Bombardier Transportation offers a full range of rail vehicles for urban and mainline operation as well as modernization of rolling stock and operations and maintenance services. For our Headquarters in Berlin, we are currently looking to recruit a: Director IS Infrastructure, Transition & Deployments (m/f) Summary The role will be accountable for all infrastructure activities during transition and deployment phase of the infrastructure life cycle. The Director will work closely with the Architecture team to use pre-defined building blocks to implement business and application requirements. The role will hold accountability for the High Level and Low Level Design of Infrastructure solutions (workplace, server, storage, platforms and network). Key responsibilities and challenges Accountable to issue High Level Designs plus reviewing and approving Low Level Design Manage existing solutions along the infrastructure domains of workplace, server, storage, platforms and network including capacity management for live solutions (enhancements and expansions) Acceptance for infrastructure solution delivered by our supplier Support for Program Management and ongoing projects Support for Operations (L3 capabilities for Incident and problem Management) Qualifications Qualifications & Functional Knowledge Excellent infrastructure understanding in the domains workplace, server, storage, platforms and network ITIL process framework and its implementation in a global context Proven track record of implementing IS infrastructure standard solutions in a highly complex environment Experience with 3rd party delivery and managing external suppliers indirectly
