For our Headquarters in Berlin, we are currently looking to recruit a: Director IS Infrastructure Architecture (m/f) Summary The role will lead a team of IS Architects covering all areas of Infrastructure. The expected output is the development and maintenance of the technology plan and building blocks for infrastructure domains like end user computing, server, storage and network. The role will develop an end2nd view of the solution requirements towards infrastructure, will develop a long-term target architecture and drive its implementation on a day to day basis. Key responsibilities and challenges: Drive the IS Technology Plan - Ownership of the Technology Plan as definition of the target infrastructure and mid- to long-term roadmap. Design solutions in close cooperation with Enterprise Architecture. Develop and Maintain Infrastructure Building blocks, solution and product catalogue - Accountability for IT Infrastructure architectural building blocks forming the foundation for all projects. IS Infrastructure support for projects - Expert support for solution design and implementation, e.g. if non standard components need to be used or specific problem solutions are required. Validation of supplier proposals. IS Operational Support (Problem Management) - support the operational team as L3 support for problem management and bring in expert knowledge if required. Qualifications Qualifications & Functional Knowledge Expertise in IS Infrastructure in following domains - Server, Storage, Network and End User Computing (deep specialist in at least one of the areas) Intensive knowledge of IS Operations based on ITIL Leadership - Management or Technical Leadership of a team of technical specialist, focusing them on fit for purpose concepts delivering operational and commercial value for BT. The role need to liaise and lead discussions with other IS areas to fit in with technical solutions and deliver short- and long-term value for the business Problem Solving Ability for complex problem solving and finding solution across multiple technical domains. Good skills to simplify solution by understanding the end2end requirement and standardize/consolidate towards building blocks Area & Nature of Impact The technical solutions designed in this area will impact BTs IT immediately, but with longevity of 10+ years considering the life cycle of solutions. Despite the immediate impact in projects and IT operations, the main benefit of the role will be delivered mid- to long-term when a critical number of new solutions is in place. The role impact a spend volume of >€100m and enabler for annual cost reductions of 10%. Interpersonal & Communication Skills Managing for impact is a required skill as this role will need to bridge between technology specialist, other IT domains and business functions. Stakeholder management and convincing senior management about solution approaches and required investments is essential
