We are looking for an Asset Life Management, Lead Engineer

for our Västerås facility

Your Role

In this role you will work as an Asset Life Management, Lead Engineer for our Service Division.

You will provide technical direction and lead the engineering team with day to day management and resourcing decisions. Your workings tasks consist of develop policies, objectives and procedures to meet business targets. Identify and appoint engineers to meet the recruitment plan.

Your role is further to support engineering teams with vehicle refurbishment, system upgrades and general vehicle engineering. You will establish an effective change control process with to ensure changes to vehicles, equipment and maintenance specifications are controlled and carried out in a safe and timely manner to meet performance targets and client aspirations. Furthermore you will identify best practice management practices and processes and prepare proposals for implementation by organization.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications

-Engineering Degree, or equivalent qualification

-Demonstrable Leadership and Project Engineering ability

-Able to lead and motivate engineers

-Set-up and manage small to medium size project engineering teams

-Experience and good working knowledge of vehicle refurbishment, system upgrades and general vehicle engineering

-Rail vehicle engineering, with good system integration and production knowledge crucial

-Working knowledge of standard IT systems

-Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills

-You are a good communicator

-Good technical analysis and assessment skills

-Knowledge of the rail industry is preferred
