We are looking for an Accounts Receivable and Cash Expert for our Shared Service Group, facility based in Cluj, Romania RESPONSIBILITIES Perform all Accounts Receivable function through the effective performance of accounts receivable transactions: Apply general accounting policies and procedures Manage accounts receivable and intercompany reconciliations Perform cash applications and ensure integrity and accuracy of the posting of incoming payments Perform period end activity Respond to all additional requests. Apply general policy and procedures Comply with general accounting period end routines and cash management policies and procedures Comply with Group instructions (BAM…) Track work progress on a daily basis Comply with period end checklists and produce issue/change request reports Manage accounts receivable and intercompany reconciliations Control the invoicing and validate automatic postings to GL Ensure accounts receivable reconciliation between customers invoices and sub-ledgers Justify accounts receivable balance sheet Perform intra and intercompany reconciliations Perform cash applications and ensure integrity and accuracy of the posting of incoming payments Enter remittance data into system Run allocation process to ensure open amounts match to account balances Control the numbers of transactions received are posted Identify and resolve instances Perform period end activity Process period end postings and accruals Assess provision for doubtful accounts Post provisions for doubtful accounts Lead Continuous Improvement Meet Service Level Requirements Contribute to the effectiveness of the function through identification of areas for continuous improvement, providing input and information to achieve problem resolution Identify all potential improvements and discuss them with the Closing and Reporting Team Leader Manage Performance and Teamwork Ensure continuous improvement in individual performance Ensure that the daily activities, within the responsibilities are fulfilled according to the timetable agreed with the Closing and Reporting Team Leader Qualifications REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education required: Professional Education Level or University Degree in Business administration / Economics Number of years of experience required: 3 years of experience in an Accounting department of which at least 2 years in General Ledger function Technical skills/knowledge: Solid accounting knowledge Familiar with relevant European GAAP (generally Accepted Accounting Principles), company, legal and tax requirements Experience in SAP or ERP environment PC literate (MS-office tools, Lotus Notes…) Communication Skills (Verbal & Written) Language ability: Good oral and written knowledge of English Besides native language, knowledge of another European Knowledge would be an asset Traveling: Traveling will be required in the first months of the assignment
