Tartu-Valga train connection to get relaunched from January

Starting January 1, 2010, it will be possible for people to travel by train on the Tartu-Valga route again and use it to travel to Riga by train, EPL Online/LETA reports.

The connection was suspended in April 2008 due to extensive repairs of the railway.

Starting January four trips a day will take place on the Tartu-Valga route, two on both directions, said Edelaraudtee.

All of them will be linked to the passenger train departure and arrival times on the Tartu-Tallinn route. In the evening, people who come from Tallinn to Valga have to switch trains in Tartu, other trips will be without switching trains.
